Congratulations to Carl Ekstrom for winning best in show at Sacred Craft in Ventura! He's been designing some insane boards lately: finless, asymmetrical, super-paipos, you name it(all of which are being ridden and documented by the Hydrodynamica test pilots). Evidently his asym's won the award which is much deserved. I have heaps of respect for Carl who is an amazing inventor, innovator, designer, tinkerer and all around super nice guy. Here's a photo I took of Carl in his shop a while back for a Japanese magazine holding some prototypes of another one of his creations, asymmetrical snowboards. If you're not familiar with his work, look him up because you should be.
