I feel very fortunate to be part of the 20th anniversary issue of the Surfers Journal with photos of Tony Alva and Frank Nausworthy for an article Richard Kenvin wrote called Child of the Cataclysm. I've always respected the Journal as a vehicle to document surf culture.
The photos of TA were taken on a trip I did with Tony, RK, and Trefz to central Baja a couple years ago. The waves were small but flawless. Baja is a beautiful, pristine place and I hope to return there throughout my life. Frank Nausworthy is the guy who introduced the polyurethane skateboard wheel back in the 70's, revolutionizing skateboarding forever.
This is all culminated from work for Hydrodynamica. I've had the pleasure to meet some really nice, amazing people on that project.
